BookWryter.in is indeed a small publisher but of brilliant ideas. It takes a lot of pride in whatever it has achieved so far and in its failures resulting from not sucking up to mass content. We’re not in the race for bestsellers; so, we will continue to focus on depth, insight, and the art of writing. As we now open, we’re excited about each new title we have planned for 2025 and we welcome you in!
Back in 2012, the publisher started with the RL Poetry Award. From there, it went on to instituting RLFPA Editions in 2018. The agenda was to publish the winning manuscripts of the poets who won the award. Founded by poet and author Linda Ashok, her aim was straightforward: be the support to poets young and old that she wished for herself. And thus, RLFPA Editions became one of the top five independent presses in India.
But reality must interfere. Due to financial and logistics issues, RLFPA Editions by 2022, we evolved into BookWryter. Struggles were yet not over, when the publisher for lack of a permanent address, couldn’t renew business license besides herself getting into academia as Master’s student in psychology. So, that’s that, after a brief academic break in 2024, BookWryter is back to life, this time not only to support poets but also support aspiring and established psychologists become authors.
